Complete Partial Denture
Complete Partial Denture
A complete partial denture, more accurately known as a “partial denture,” is a removable dental prosthesis designed to replace one or more missing teeth. Unlike a complete denture, which replaces all teeth in an arch, a partial denture fills in gaps between remaining natural teeth.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning : Brush the partial denture daily with a soft brush and non-abrasive cleaner. Rinse after meals.
Handling : Be gentle to avoid damaging clasps or framework.
Storage : When not in use, keep the partial denture in water or a denture solution to prevent drying out.
Regular Dental Visits : Regular check-ups are necessary to ensure a proper fit and to monitor the health of your remaining teeth and gums.
Process of Getting a Partial Denture
1- Initial Consultation: Dental examination and discussion of suitable options.
2- Impressions: Taking molds of your mouth to create a precise model.
3 – Fabrication: Denture creation in a dental lab based on the impressions.
4 – Fitting: Adjustments to ensure comfort and proper fit.
5 – Follow-Up: Additional adjustments as needed and routine check-ups.
